The Free Technologies Communities Meetups, or “Encontro de Comunidades de Tecnologias Livres”, in Portuguese (ECTL for short), are a series of meetups organized by multiple communities around Open Source Hardware, Open Source Software, Open Data, and Free Knowledge, in Portugal
The Ubuntu Summit is calling!
London is calling, and here in Portugal we’ll be listening!
The Ubuntu-pt Local Community Team, in collaboration with Ubuntu and the Canonical Community Team, a extensĂŁo oficial da Ubuntu Summit 25.10, is organizing the official Ubuntu Summit 25.10 in Portugal!
Of course, this couldn’t be anything other than the Linux Center’s October event, and given the opportunity, it will also be the ECTL - Porto’s October event.
This time, we’re changing our usual schedule a bit and scheduling an entire weekend, October 25th and 26th.
To create an interactive dynamic between Lisbon and Porto, we’ll connect the two event hubs via video call, with planned interaction between the two locations, as well as spontaneous moments.
So, we’ll be at MILL - Makers In Little Lisbon, and LCD Porto - Digital Creation Laboratory, watching the Ubuntu Summit broadcast and exchanging opinions.
We’ll also be trying out the new Ubuntu 25.10 Questing Quokka and helping everyone who wants to come learn, experiment, and/or install Ubuntu.
We’ll also have plenty of socializing among participants.
Lisbon
If you’re in Lisbon, near Lisbon, or want to come to Lisbon to participate in the event, we ask that you register for free on the MILL website (this is only for planning and managing space capacity).
The events will be held at the Linux Center located at Makers In Little Lisbon - MILL, located in Lisbon, very close to Campo dos Mártires da Pátria.
